Product Security Advisory HCCSEC-000013
InterNiche Security Vulnerabilities
Advisory ID: HCCSEC-000013
Publish Date: 2021-05-28
Last Updated: 2021-06-15
The code that generates Initial Sequence Numbers (ISNs) for TCP connections in NicheStack derives the ISN from an insufficiently random source. As a result, an attacker may be able to determine the ISN of current and future TCP connections and either hijack existing ones or spoof future ones.
HCC is recommending customers with affected product versions to update to the latest release.
Security Notices are being issued for the following products:
|Product Name||Affected Version||Security Notice||Last Updated|
|InterNiche Stack, |
|All before v4.3 |
(Package: in_tcp - v1.9)
|Contact HCC Security Team||2021-05-28|
