HCC Embedded CEO Dave Hughes presents the differences in implementation of code built for safety to standard off-the-shelf components. A practical example of a reusable software module from our network stack is used to illustrate important differences in the realization of the functionality.

Rather than looking at popular process elements of safety code (such as requirements, traceability, static analysis, etc.), we focus on how the code design and implementation is different.

Taking a safety conscious approach can improve the reliability of code even if the full safety processes are not employed. In the webinar we look at all aspects of the component from initialization to tear-down and highlight key differences.

This is the sixth in a series of HCC Embedded webinars that address some of the most challenging aspects of embedded safety software.
