Networking over USB for Embedded Systems
HCC Embedded CEO Dave Hughes presents a webinar on the most challenging aspects of networking over USB for embedded systems.
USB was designed as a flexible bus system to extend PC type hardware. Because it is a bus system, USB does not naturally fit with networking solutions, and as a result, there are several different solutions that enable traditional Ethernet/TCPIP networking over USB. There are two primary use cases for networking over USB and at least 4 different USB protocols to choose from.
This webinar will describe the different solutions for networking over a USB interface, including RNDIS, CDC-ECM, CDC-EEM and CDC-NCM, and explain their usage and technical differences.
