MAX3421E
The MAX3421E allows a USB host and/or a USB device to be attached to any microcontroller that has an SPI interface.
HCC-Embedded offers a reference design for this device that is based in the LPC2292. Only the simple SPI driver needs to be ported to support other microcontrollers.
HCC has ported its USB device stack to the MAX3421E. HCC can provide a USB host controller for this device. The host controller is fully compatible with all HCC host class drivers.
3421 SD Module
HCC’s USB_SD_IF is a module for the MAX3421E. It is compatible with any SD card socket. Simply plug it into any SD card socket and communicate through the SPI interface. It can be used with any of HCC's uCDrive development boards or indeed any development board that has an SD card socket and is SPI-capable.
HCC's USB host and USB device stacks can be run from almost any microcontroller using this module. It has a mini USB connector that allows either a USB host system or a USB device to be connected. Typical applications include accessing a standard flash drive (host mode) or connecting a virtual serial port on the target that appears as a standard COM port on the host PC.
Full schematic and layout of the module is here.
This module maybe ordered directly from HCC-Embedded. Please contact sales.
