Communication Device Class

HCC’s CDC class driver is used for supporting standard serial comm ports.

 

An API is provided that allows a comm port to be either virtual in your embedded application, or connected to a serial port on your embedded design.

 

A sample application is provided. It has an embedded command line terminal that can be accessed by a standard Windows terminal program (HyperTerm) through a comm port over a USB interface.

 

Both implementations can be provided as complete working projects on variety of common development boards, as well as on HCC’s USB-enabled uCDrive development boards.
