THIN is used widely with a variety of small controllers, including many 8051 variants, the Hitachi/Renesas H8S series, TI’s MSP430 and other 16-bit MCUs.

 

All the code is available as ANSI-compliant C. It has been verified with several RTOSes and development environments. Porting to a new MCU is therefore straightforward. The points at which it may be worth spending the effort to add some assembler code are clearly indicated. 8051 sample code is available as a possible starting point.
