Release of File System and USB Product Ranges for Atmel SAM9G45 Microcontrollers

Budapest, Hungary and New York, NY – June 15, 2010 – HCC-Embedded today announced the release of a complete range of embedded firmware for Atmel SAM9G45 microcontrollers.

The 32-bit SAM9G45 is a high-performance microcontroller that is very effective for industrial applications such as alarm systems, building management, HVAC, medical apparatus, process control, and many others. The SAM9G45 supports high speed USB (host and device), an SD controller, and high-performance NAND and ECC controller with support for error correction.

HCC has ported all of its relevant embedded products to the SAM9G45. Included are the embedded USB host, device and OTG stacks, as well as the FAT, SafeFAT and SafeFLASH file systems, and the SafeFTL flash translation layer. HCC’s file system drivers are available for use with all memories supported by the SAM9G45.

HCC’s normal distribution policy includes working projects, built with widely used tool-chains, for standard SAM9G45 development boards, such as the SAM9G45-EK. All HCC software is distributed in source form.

HCC’s embedded products are designed for operation with or without an RTOS. Products can be supplied in a fully integrated state, with many RTOSes, TCP/IP stacks and other embedded components.

In addition to the USB stack and the file systems, HCC offers high-performance drivers for the SDIO interface and the NAND flash controller of the SAM9G45. SafeFTL, HCC’s failsafe flash translation layer, operates efficiently and reliably with up to four terabytes of NAND storage connected to the SAM9G45.
