Advanced Embedded Middleware
For more than a decade, HCC Embedded has been developing and supplying storage and communications software for embedded controllers. Almost half of the top 20 embedded software companies sell our USB, File System, Bootloader and Communications software as part of their integrated solutions. To complement its hugely popular range of embedded solutions, HCC is introducing a range of Advanced Embedded Middleware to meet the growing demand for verifiable embedded software which is developed to the highest quality standards and can be used in critical applications.
Working Projects Delivered to Your Desk
Our extensive collaboration with MCU vendors, compiler developers, RTOS companies and, most importantly, application developers has resulted in highly efficient solutions which can be integrated easily in almost any environment – even ‘in-house’ developed schedulers and loops. With seamless integration with virtually all commonly used microcontroller families, RTOSes and IDEs, HCC middleware brings professional quality and leading performance to any environment. Our software is delivered to you as a working project for the tools and hardware you specify, giving you more time to focus on your own application.
Advanced Networking
HCC’s USB stacks – host, device and OTG – are complemented by an extensive, industry-leading collection of class drivers. We support all speeds, all transfer types and have implementations for a large number of microcontrollers and tool-chains. Our TCP/IP stacks are rigorously compliant with MISRA-C:2004 and are amongst the most compact and fastest stacks in the embedded field.
Safe and Reliable Flash File Systems

There are few companies who have our combined depth and quality of embedded storage expertise. From basic FAT files systems to complex Flash software, HCC’s support for memory is unrivalled. We provide solutions for a huge number of Flash devices including NAND and NOR memories and sophisticated solutions for failsafe storage, wear leveling, bad block management and flash translation layers.
